Travis comes to the Library from Massachusetts, where he was the Associate Director for Military and Veterans Programs at William James College. Travis has extensive experience with both VHP and veterans education, working in similar prior roles at both UMass and as a District Director for the City Colleges of Chicago.  

 

An Army veteran, Travis served as an infantry squad leader in Iraq in addition to other roles during his seven years of service on both active duty and the National Guard. As PCC head, Travis oversees a team of six Liaison Specialists working to promote participation in VHP and teach individuals, organizations, and Congressional offices how to interview the veterans in their communities.
