Guy J. Nasuti

Guy J. Nasuti joined Naval History and Heritage Command as a historian in 2014. The author of more than 30 ship histories for the Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships, Mr. Nasuti also penned the recently published book, “On the Verge of Breaking Down Completely”: Surviving the Kamikaze off Okinawa, 1945.

 

As a member of the Public Histories and Education section, he continues his research on the U.S. Navy in World War II, including the development and creation of the Underwater Demolition Teams.

 

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Nasuti served on board
amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA-4) during
Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
